Secondary cancer

Secondary cancer is a cancer that has spread (metastasized) from the organ it has first appeared to another organ. The original cancer is the primary cancer or primary tumor. Primary lung cancer means the cancer began in the lung. Secondary lung cancer means the cancer began somewhere else in the body but has metastasized to the lung.
